Opposition political leaders have today signed a joint statement where they have vowed to work together to end what they call forgery in elections.
The leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi and Dr Kizza Besigye ,the leader of People’s Front For Transition,Erias Lukwago of FDC,Asuman Basalirwa of Jeema and others have today agreed to work together to make sure the regime no longer misuse the constitution during times of elections.
They vowed to ensure that president Museveni is removed from power as soon as possible.
They noted that some by-elections such as that of Kayunga,Omoro,Soroti among others were rigged in broad day light.
According to Lukwago who talked on behalf of FDC said as opposition leaders they are not ready to entertain mockery of democracy.
Lukwago said the government together with its agents committed treason in the recently concluded by election in Soroti,and so it’s time Ugandans to rise up and stop this mockery.
Besigye said this agreement has come in times when the country is in a hard financial crisis times which have been caused by politicians in government and so it’s time Ugandans rise up and regain their power.
On his part, Kyagulanyi called on all opposition leaders from all different formations to joint together and send a revolutionary whenever they have a chance as the only way to over come the ruling government.
