Uganda Peoples defence forces have identified the victims of the deadly Nansana shooting.
The names of the dead were released by Lt Col Deo Akiki, the Deputy UPDF Spokesperson.
“Today 11th January 2021 at or around 0930hrs in Nansana Ganda RA/207985 L/Cpl Omara Owili Dennis the second in Command Ganda LDF Unit went on rampage and begun shooting want only and killed 04 people, he was later also gunned down,” reads the statement.
The statement further reads that; “The dead are; AX/017516 LDU Wafula John Walter, AX 031789 Masereka Abrahim, SPC Nimirunji Isaac (police) who was riding motorcycle along Ganda road and a civilian Nabayungo Ritah who was killed in her car Registration Number UAK 705U along Ganda road.”
“He also injured three (03) persons who were evacuated to Mulago National Referral Hospital for further management.
“A case file has been opened Ref to SD 15/11/01/21 at Ganda police as we jointly investigate the matter.”
