15 More New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Uganda

Yesterday, 21 May, 2020, 15 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Uganda by the Ministry of Health.

The total confirmed cases are now 160 after the president ordered to remove the count of non-Ugandans.

10 new cases are truck drivers who arrived via Elegu while 5 cases are among community samples

All community cases were under quarantine at the time of testing.

21 positive foreign truck drivers who tested positive were handed over to their countries of origin.

So far, the total foreign truck drivers handed over to their country of origin since Presidential directive are145.

Uganda now has 66 COVID-19 recoveries.

Yesterday, 2,101 samples of truck drivers were tested, 628 community samples were also tested and this gives a total of 2,729 samples tested.
