Popular musician Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone is involved in a bitter squabble over money with his managers at Leone Island.
Reports coming in from Leone Island reveal Chameleone is clashing with his managers and other minders at Leone Island after signing a one-year contract with a new management label.
We have learnt that Chameleone has handed all bookings, video shooting, Public Relations management and promotions to the new label called Eventix Uganda, owned by one Fortunate Bijou.
However, the new contract has left other managers like Robert Nkuke Mutima and Fred Kinene in discomfort, since all bookings and other related issues with Chameleone’s music are to be handled by the new management.
It should be noted that Kinene has been handling bookings abroad but now all that will go through the new management.
Sources say that Chameleone had gotten fed up of many people booking shows from different promoters without informing him, and in most cases causing him to have clashing dates for shows.
It is because of such incidents that he would snub some shows, thus affecting organisers.
The new management will now be in charge of the singer’s calendar and all bookings in and outside the country.
It is revealed that the new management will also be responsible for buying new songs from writers.
The new changes have caused grumbling at the Leone Island camp since most members were benefiting from the old system.
