Residents of Makanga Cell, Ahamuhambo Ward in Ryakarimira town council, Kabale district were on Monday evening shocked after an unidentified woman dumped her baby girl into a pit latrine.
The Ryakarimira town council LCIII chairperson Enock Kazooba said the residents could not believe after one of the residents who had gone to use the latrine, heard a baby crying in the toilet.
Kazooba said that the residents responded by informing the local leaders and police, but it was too late to rescue the baby from the latrine.
