The Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, and leader of the People Power Movement, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine is angry about the newly tabled electoral reforms which he claims are a sign that President Museveni is actually living in fear and afraid of what might befall him come 2021.
On his social media platforms, Bobi Wine noted that soon after officially declaring his intentions to challenge President Museveni in 2021, government tabled the electoral reforms aimed at stopping him from uniting with other opposition forces, raising funds and reaching out to the people of Uganda.
“Even a baby can see that the proposed amendments are desperate attempts by his panic regime to counter the People Power wave,” he noted.
He stated that Museveni’s government is gripped with fear of what’s awaits it come 2021.
Bobi Wine said that banning people from going with cameras and phones to polling stations is because the regime fears that evidence regarding rigging of election will be captured.
“They are even shameless banning people from going with cameras and phones to polling stations to capture the evidence of rigging, knowing that the majority of police and soldiers support us,” he noted.
He said President Museveni has realised that the eyes of the people are open and that he will be cornered with nowhere to turn because there are clear signs that he will lose come 2021.
“Let me repeat this message which I have been sending to President Museveni…if he thinks he is popular as he claims to be, I challenge him to a free and fair election.”
