Reports reaching us have it that celebrated media and events personality and emcee David Kazoora aka J. Kazoora has quit UBC.
Snoops reveal Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, where he had scooped a deal to provide content to sister stations has decided to move on.
It should be noted that Kazoora scooped the deal to manage Magic One TV and Magic FM as both stations’ new content provider under Buddies Production.
Sources say that Kazoora was forced to dump the deal after failing to the yield millions he had anticipated from it.
We have established that Kazoora was either dumped by UBC management or he just quit after failing to get the money he had envisioned while signing the deal.
An insider revealed that Kazoora’s content failed to attract viewership which in the end could not get sponsors to finance the shows, thus failing on hitting targets set by his bosses.
We have learnt that out of frustration he decided to quit the deal and it is currently under the new watchful eyes of former NTV MD Maurice Mugisha.
Meanwhile we have learnt that Kazoora is regretting the UBC deal because he sunk a lot of money in refurbishing and setting up the studios whereby since management refused to fund the project.
It is said that the former TV star secured a bank loan to enable him procure new equipment to provide better services for three media channels which he was given to run and even hired various presenters to work under his Buddies Production, with anticipations of making good money from the advertising department.
However, the projections he had never scored to his expectations, and he is said to be struggling to service the bank loan.
