Miss World Africa, Quiin Abenakyo who doubles as Miss Uganda is ill and the Tulambule trip has been cancelled until further notice.
The trip that was supposed to be flagged off on Sunday January 27, 2019.
Tulambule trip was to start by touring Easter Uganda but was postponed until beauty Quiin Abenakyo recovers from the strange illness.
Mis Uganda foundation Chief Executive Officer, Brenda Nanyonjo told journalists on Sunday that Abenakyo is currently sick and could not carry on with her tour across Eastern and northern parts of the country but is currently receiving medical attention.
“Quiin is not feeling well much as she wanted the trip to continue but doctors have stopped her from traveling until she gets well and is in the hospital at the moment receiving treatment,” she added
Meanwhile JK Kazoora, the tour Media Manager stated that; “It is so unfortunate that Quiin Abenakyo has fallen sick at the same time with Brenda Nanyonjo who currently not feeling well but their health is paramount and they under medical attention.”
According to Kevin Zziwa, a director at Miss Uganda foundation, Quiin Abenakyo had complaints about her root canal and this started on Saturday
Clare Mugabi, the Uganda Tourism Board marketing manager, said Abenakyo would resume her role as Goodwill ambassador of tourism in Uganda as soon as she recovers and apologized to journalists for the inconvenience caused.
She also stated that the trip was postponed and the new date will be stipulated when Abenakyo recovers.
In 2018, Tulambule tour was spearheaded by city socialite Zari Hassan who visited different parts of the country.
