For some good time, we have seen a lot of local artists taking part in politics like Dr Hilderman, King Saha, Irene Ntale, Big Eye among others who have composed songs and others featured in different songs that talk about the current situation in the country.
We should remember that ever since Bobi Wine was mistreated by the police when he travelled to Aura for campaigns which lead to the death of his personal driver who was shot dead.
This made many artists come up to support their fellow artist in every way possible as they want the will of #Peoplepower to be heard by the government.
Now the information reaching our news room is that Cindy has come out to clear the air saying that people misunderstood her, she is not a politician, and she doesn’t belong to any political party.
“Am not blaming anyone but am just acknowledging the fact that music has become political recently whether you accept it or not. Yes, Bobi Wine has been singing about it but we should know that he has shown the government the power of music. And this politics thing is killing our music. So am not blaming anyone because we artists have made it be like that,” she said.
The singer also added saying that she is not blaming anyone but it’s we (artists) who have made the music industry to be like this hence new regulations being formed.
