Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine has finally been granted permission to continue with his music shows.
Minster Jeje Odong on Thursday announced that the government has granted permission to Bobi Wine to carry on with his music concerts on conditions that he does not mix music and politics while performing.
“The problem is that when Bobi Wine stands on stage, he mixes music with politics and threatens the security of this country,” he said.
On Tuesday Hon Robert Kyagulanyi took his complains to parliament and wanted parliament to intervene and rescue him because his music carrier is being frustrated by security forces.
Parliament tasked government to explain whether constitution does not allow Hon Robert Kyagulanyi to sing while in Parliament.
While chairing the plenary, speaker Rebecca Kadaga condemned the manner in which security forces sabotage Bobi Wine’s concerts.
“You should stop focusing at Bobi Wine as an individual because many people get affected, you balance the boat,” speaker said
NRM members of parliament asked Jeje Odong whether government fears Hon Robert Kyagulanyi so that it should let it open and tell the public.
Members of parliament generally blamed and condemned the way the how security forces are blocking Hon Robert Kyagulanyi’s Music shows.
