Seasoned NTV Uganda News Anchor, Maurice Mugisha has thrown in a towel, Uganda Mirror reports.
The latest coming from the Serena based TV station indicate that the Flamboyant news anchor and Editor has already tendered in his resignation.
The circumstances that led to his resignation are not yet clear.
This website understands that the rumor of Maurice quitting NTV dates way back last year.
Informed sources say when Kalinaki returned to Kampala to manage the convergence of news for all Nation Media Group news outlets; Daily Monitor, KFM, Dembe FM and NTV, things rapidly changed for the once very powerful Maurice.
A source further notes that he lost his independence and couldn’t determine the NTV news agenda as freely as he had been used to do in the preceding years.
It is now being rumored that Maurice is set to eat big at the government owned TV, UBC.
He will be the deputy Managing Director earning over Shs22million monthly.
This news cones at a time when NTV’s sister Television, Spark TV lost its best and popular presenters, Zahara Toto and Anatlia Ozzy.
The two were presenting a popular entertainment show, Live Wire.
