Kirumira Case Hearing Flops

The hearing of former Buyende District Police Commander, ASP Muhammad Kirumira’s case has today flopped due to the absence of committee member.

Kirumira is being charged with neglect of duty contrary to Section 44(1) Code 19, corruption practices contrary to Section 44(1) Code 23(a) and irregular conduct contrary to Section 44(1) Code 12 of the Police Act.

Police court chairman, Denis Odongpiny, said they will sit on Thursday to decide Kirumira’s fate.

Meanwhile, Police officers blocked journalists from accessing the room where the hearing was going to take place.

After the flopped sitting, Kirumira was taken to the police Van that rushed him to Nalufenya.
