1 Mins read

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has today unveiled a state of the art Corporate Center at Workers House, Kampala, to enable contributing institutions or employers  access customized services on contributions related issues.

Addressing the top employers at Workers House in Kampala, the NSSF Managing Director Richard Byarugaba said that the Corporate Centre will improve overall customer experience by providing specialized services as well as fast, efficient and convenient services to the contributing institutions.

“We want to move focus from customer service (quality of service at point of contact) to customer engagement by creating a proactive and exciting customer experience. The Corporate Center is manned by a team of highly professional staff with the requisite skills to provide employers with an unmatched experience,” he said.

He added that contributing employers will benefit from our already established Relationship Management Model, through which each employer has a dedicated Relationship Manager to provide personalized service that we believe will enhance efficiency.

Byarugaba said that the Corporate Center does not replace, but rather supplements the Fund’s Online E-Collections System by providing a one point of contact with our professional staff on any NSSF Contributions related issues.

The Fund also unveiled a modern and state of the art Customer Service Centre at Workers House where NSSF members will can access self-service options.

“We are giving our members convenient service options. Those who do not come to our offices can access our services online and via mobile. But we also want to ensure that those who come to our Service Centres can experience unmatched Customer service,” Byarugaba said.

Last year, the Fund launched the NSSF Electronic Collections portal that enables employers pay NSSF contributions straight to the Fund’s bank account along with payment schedules, which in turn enabled the Fund to automatically post individual contributions to members’ statements.

The Fund also sends monthly e-mail and SMS alerts every month upon receipt of contributions from employers.

The Fund currently has about 1.7m members across the country.

Speaking on behalf of employers, Centenary Bank Managing Director Fabian Kasi, who is also the Chairman of Uganda Bankers Association (UBA) lauded the Fund for the continuous innovations efforts, a thing he said would be key in attracting new members as well as increasing coverage of social security to working population in Uganda.
