The Uganda government spokesperson, Ofwono Opondo is on cloud nine after the country’s President Yoweri Museveni extended his contract to three more years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opondo took to social media micro-blogging site Twitter to make the announcement and thank the president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“President @<\/s>KagutaMuseveni<\/strong><\/a> has extended my contract of service for a further three-year period effective today July 1st, 2019. It is with great gratitude to continue to serve the President, the Government and Citizens of Uganda,” Ofwono wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opondo who also doubles as Uganda Media Centre boss is known for his passionate defence of the Uganda government positions, sometimes controversial and unappealing to the public eye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
