The\nterritorial police in Rwizi has apprehended a primary school teacher of Maato\nMuslim primary school in Kyanju, Ntugamo District on allegations of molesting\nand sodomizing a 15-year-old male pupil of the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\n23-year-old, Igga Sudais Alais Kagame is a teacher and resident of Kyamuhunga\nvillage, Bwongera Sub County in Ntugamo District<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\nwas established, that he started abusing sexually the victim since February,\n2018 to May 2019 and had threatened to kill the victim if he reported the\nmatter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police\nnoted that the matter was however reported to them by the stepmother to the\nvictim Nimwesiga Mackline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\ncommend her greatly as we encourage more parents, guardians, victims to always\nreport such crimes to the police.\u201d police noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police\nsaid that in this case, the victim did not have the courage to come forward\nduring the initial stages, to report the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\nvictim was subjected to medical examination on PF3 and its appendix whose\nresults confirmed penetration and rapture of the anus,\u201d police added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police\nhowever, said there is need to educate and raise awareness amongst pupils and\nstudents on sexual crimes including acts of \u201cgrooming \u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
