Kampala\nLord Mayor Erias Lukwago has revealed that Kampala Capital City Authority is\nmore likely to crack down due to a lot of debts left behind by the former KCCA\ndirector Jenifer Musisi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing\njournalists at his office in Kampala, Lukwago cursed Jenifer Musisi noting that\nKCCA is now struggling with a lot of debts worth Shs100 billion that was used\nby her while serving the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“She\nhad reached at the level where the institution may crack down, I am worried, if\nthere is no intervention, no drastic measures taken, we will see the\ninstitution closing down,” Lukwago noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid the institution is soon closing all in the name of accumulated illegal\ncosts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that this was the reason why the institution called for the comprehensive\nreport unfortunately when the process started members started resigning one by\none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther expressed his disappointment at president Museveni over taking the\nresponsibilities of KCCA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This\nis sad we should respect the institution of KCCA. We should respect the\nprocesses provided before the law, “he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nadded that president Museveni is getting involved in the issues to do with the markets,\nBoda bodas among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nfurther revealed that many people who were given jobs at KCCA, were not given\nopportunity to take over their positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\ncalled upon those who applied for jobs at KCCA and went through to come over\nand take their vacancies before it’s too late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
