The\ncase in which Dr Stella Nyanzi appealed against her sacking by Makerere\nuniversity resumed yesterday, Wednesday 12th June 2019 with the applicant\ngiving the submission a head of the ruling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through\nher lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde, Dr Stella Nyanzi protests the decision of the\nappointment board for sacking her in her absentia without giving her a fair\nhearing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyanzi\nalso indicates that the appointments board unlawfully and unjustifiably acted\nin the contempt of the earlier decision of the staff appeal tribunal of\nDecember 3 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ssemakadde\ncontends that the decision in dispute is wholly unfounded and inconsistent with\nthe decision-making history of the appointment board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ssemakadde cited the evidence that happened\nbehind the back of the court violating the court orders and invited court to\nreject defence submissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They\nwant court to direct the University\u2019s appointments board and the Vice\nChancellor to implement the order of the staff tribunal, reinstate the\napplicant, pay all her monuments, promotion in office, payment worth Shs750million\nand impunity damages of Shs250 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyanzi\nis currently on remand on charges of Cyber harassment and offensive\ncommunication for alleging insulting president Museveni\u2019s mother Esteri\nKokundeka on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
