People\nPower Movement has lashed at government over brutality exhibited by State\nSecurity agencies against their supporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While\naddressing journalists on Tuesday in Kampala, Joel Ssenyonyi the People Power National\nSpokesperson demanded for the immediate investigation into unbecoming behaviour\nof security operatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nemphasized the protection of rights of Ugandans guaranteed by the constitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur\nmobilizers across the country are being shot by police and other People Power supporters\nare haunted by state security for expressing themselves against the ills and\nexcesses of government,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nnoted that quick investigations into the matter are required by police to bring\nto book all those responsible for all the injustices committed against\nUgandans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nchallenged Electoral Commission to take actions against president Museveni for\nengaging in early campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPresident\nMuseveni and NRM have been in campaign freely including putting up campaign\nbillboards,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nsaid that if Electoral Commission claims to be impartial, it should call\npresident Museveni to order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile\nMityana Municipality Member of Parliament Francis Zaake has urged the\ngovernment to stop the act of mistreating Ugandans by torturing them in\ndifferent ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
