Mukono\nMunicipality Member of Parliament, Betty Nambooze has described the state of\nsecurity as being in a worrying condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While\nappearing on NBS TV\u2019s Morning Breeze on Tuesday, Nambooze noted that the state\nof security is worrying to the extent that people are not sure of reaching their\nhomes safely. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nsaid that during the State Nation Address, President Museveni was very shallow\nwhen it came on the issue of security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nstated that president would have addressed the issue of the country relations\nand unemployment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Ugandans\nare used to the situation where they don’t expect anything from the president,\u201d\nshe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nnoted that the State of Nation Address was not a sitting room conversation\nbetween the president and legislators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I\nwas disappointed that the president didn’t give honest accounts of what is\nreally happening in the country,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nnoted that she wanted president Museveni to talk about the security and the\neffectiveness of the CCTV cameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Many\npeople are being killed each day and for years nobody is giving us an account,\u201d\nshe noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nfurther added that the main strategy of opposition is to empower Ugandans and\nundertake activities meant to empower the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If\nour people are civically competent, their people will be able to determine good\ngovernance to give us good government,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nsaid fighting for freedom has never been easy and no one should get frustrated\nwhen the president says bad things about the opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The\nstruggle is on, we still have many things to coordinate as the opposition,\u201d she\nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nambooze\nadded that opposition is thinking about creating a situation where Ugandans\nwill be renegotiating the existence of the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
