Anita Ayebare, Uganda\u2019s representative at the just concluded Miss Tourism World pageant emerged among the top contestants at the prestigious event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ayebare who was the second runner-up at Uganda\u2019s Miss Tourism competitions in 2017 emerged fourth runner up in the grand finale that took place in the Croatian capital Zagreb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The beauty queen stood out for her eloquence and knowledge of the tourism industry and was the only African representative left in the running for the global crown at the finale. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was the 74th Edition of the Miss Tourism World pageant and it was the first time that Uganda was taking part in the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A promotional video\nsubmitted by Uganda was also recognized as one of the best having been ranked\nsecond among those submitted by the participating nations. This supplemented\nAyebare\u2019s impressive presentation of Uganda to the judges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An elated Ayebare\nsaid that she was happy to have represented her country and also sharing Uganda\nto the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am thrilled that\nUganda was able to finish in that position despite this being the first time\nthat Miss Tourism Uganda was participating. Now, I can do more tourism advocacy\nfor my country,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adding, \u201cI have been\nworking on projects in the climate change realm and that is what I am going to\ncontinue doing. People are not really taking climate seriously and this is\nsomething that we all have to join forces to create more awareness because this\nis a real threat. Without good climate, we cannot talk about a beautiful\nUganda.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lilly Ajarova, the\nChief Executive Officer of UTB noted that this achievement was another seal of\napproval from global pageants, reaffirming that Uganda is not only blessed with\nsome of the world\u2019s best tourist attractions but also people who are able to\narticulate this beauty to the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are happy that we are getting global recognition in areas that are helping us hoist Uganda\u2019s flag higher. Ayebare is a focused, intelligent, motivated individual and we are happy that she is representing Uganda well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is also confirmation that the organizers of Miss Tourism Uganda are actually helping to unearth individuals with impeccable talent and at the same time helping them attain global exposure,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ayebare, who hails\nfrom Sheema District won the Miss Tourism Ankole 2017 crown and went on to\nemerge as one of the top three during the national competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
