A\nUgandan driver and an American citizen were yesterday kidnapped by unknown\ngunmen in Queen Elizabeth National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According\nto a statement released by Uganda tourism board, On April 2, 2019, between 5pm\nand 7pm, four armed men ambushed a tourist van that was on a Game Drive in the\nQueen Elizabeth National Park<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn\nApril 2, 2019, between 5pm and 7pm, four armed men ambushed a tourist van that\nwas on a Game Drive in the Queen Elizabeth National Park,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nstatement further reads that; \u201cThe outlaws put the occupants under gun point\nand abducted two of them; a Ugandan driver and an American Citizen.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\nkidnapping happened near Katoke Gate in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The\nother occupants of the van who were left behind managed to contact a few\npeople: who came to their rescue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll\nsecurity agencies such as the Uganda Police and the Uganda People’s D\u00e9fense\nForces including wardens from the Uganda Wildlife Authority have joined in the\nhunt for these outlaws with the main aim of safely securing the hostages.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe\nlives of the kidnapped are a key priority during this process. We appeal for\ncalm as we find a lasting solution to this issue. \u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
