{"id":8988,"date":"2019-04-02T19:46:17","date_gmt":"2019-04-02T16:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=8988"},"modified":"2019-04-02T19:46:23","modified_gmt":"2019-04-02T16:46:23","slug":"justice-catherine-bamugemereire-sued-over-illegal-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/04\/02\/justice-catherine-bamugemereire-sued-over-illegal-arrest\/","title":{"rendered":"Justice Catherine Bamugemereire Sued Over Illegal Arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four\npeople have on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 sued Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, the\nhead of Commission of Inquiry into land matters over illegal arrests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nfour people who were identified as Annette Nakukunda, Irene Akiteng, Immaculate\nAyebazibwe and Elly Ampurire said they want justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nfour were arrested on March 12th 2019 when Land Commission invaded Prime\nHousing estate offices in Masooli, Wakiso district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\napplicants allege that they were arrested and put on awaiting patrol vehicle\nwith private number plate which moved them around Kampala until they reached\nJustice Catherine Bamugemereire\u2019s home in Buwaate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\napplicants also added that from Justice Bamugemereire\u2019s residence in Buwaate\nthey were taken to Najjera Police station and later to commission offices in\nWandegeya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four people have on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 sued Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, the head of Commission of Inquiry into land matters over illegal arrests.
