Mityana\nMunicipality Member of Parliament, Hon Francis Zaake has on Sunday given out 17 motorcycles to\nthe youths of sixth Battalion in Mityana Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According\nto Hon Zaake, this was the second giving out such items in addition to the 25\nmotorcycles and a vehicle that he gave out to the same members of the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sixth\nbattalion is the group of youths in Mityana Municipality that was initiated by\nZaake Zivuge foundation to alleviate poverty among the youths through\nempowering them to be financially self-sustaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ngroup organized themselves and formed a SACCO and for one to join it, there is\na small subscription fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ngroup has helped its members to develop a financial base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hon Zaake stated that he believes that giving\nout boda bodas is not the best way to create jobs for the youths in this\nconstituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGiving\nout boda bodas is not the best way to create jobs for the youths but the\nprevailing circumstances place us in a position to afford just that for now,\u201d he\nsaid<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nstated that it\u2019s his obligation to encourage all the youths within his\nconstituency to join SACCOs<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nadded that when People Power takes over the leadership of this country, better\nalternatives will be made available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
