Former\nForum for Democratic Change president, Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye has on Thursday\nwarned president Museveni of appearing again on the ballot paper in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While\naddressing media at his home in Kisangati, Besigye said that Museveni is\nholding the office illegally because he forcefully took the office as the winner as well as rigging the\nelections nevertheless, he is now working hard to see him out of that office by\n2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPresident\nMuseveni is in the office illegitimately and he should not be in office because\nI defeated him in the last elections,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besigye\nfurther said that he had evidence to the effect unfortunately president\nMuseveni could not allow him to present that evidence elsewhere because he was\nlocked and barred from moving out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besigye\nsaid the challenge of this country is not a change of leadership but the change\nof system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhat\nI am focusing on is not becoming a leader but what I am focusing on today is\nwhat have been telling Ugandans that Museveni should leave the office that he\nholds it illegitimately,\u201d he roared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Besigye\nstated that President Museveni should never appear on the ballot paper again come\n2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\nalso explained that he doesn\u2019t care to be president of this country so long as\nthere is capable leader who can take this country forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\npromised to be part of the struggle that will remove president Museveni from office\nin 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So\nfar two leaders have come to express their interest to contest in 2021,\nDemocratic party president Hon Nobert Mao and the president Museveni has been\nof recent endorsed by NRM caucus to stand in 2021 as NRM sole candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s\nnot clear whether opposition will unit to bring only one candidate in race to\ncompete with president Museveni<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For\nthe case of Dr Kizza Besigye everyone is waiting whether he will come again in 2021\nas a presidential candidate or to support another candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
