National\nResistance Movement Publicity Secretary, Margret Muhanga has revealed that six\nrebel MPs will not attend the NRM retreat scheduled for this Thursday at the\nNational Leadership institute, Kyankwanzi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nrevealed that the eight-day caucus in Kyankwanzi will mainly focused on the\ncountry\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You\nknow that we don\u2019t have rebels but we have people who disagree with each and\neverything that NRM puts on table, they vote with opposition, they oppose and I\nhave seen them even supporting Rwanda against Uganda and I wondered where did\npatriotism go in this country?” she\nasked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nfurther added that they wear red berets showing they are not in support of NRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some\nNRM rebel MPs however disagreed with Muhanga\u2019s move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis\nis the act of dictatorship and its abrogation of the constitution of the party.\nWe shall not take it lightly and we are going to protest and I want the world\nto go there even if they ban the press, I will go and they chase me from there,\u201d\nHon John Baptist Nambeshe protested<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hon\nBarnabas Tinkasimire said he is seriously warning those who are going there and\ntelling Ugandans that the group that is going to Kyankwanzi, they are not only\ngoing to conspire to loot the country but also to cause the tear down of the\nconstitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ncaucus executive has also clarified that the meeting doesn’t not intend to\ndiscuss president Museveni\u2019s sole candidature unless it is brought up for\ndebate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s\nnot part of the agenda but if some members feel like it should have been part\nof the agenda and us as coccus leadership forgot to put on the agenda, then\nsomebody can raise, we debate and vote on it, we are a very democratic and\ntransparent party,\u201d Publicity Secretary Margret Muhanga stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\ndeputy chairperson NRM caucus Solomon Siwanyi dispelled claims that the People\nPower pressure group led by Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Robert\nKyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine will also be part of their discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
