{"id":8337,"date":"2019-02-25T13:33:29","date_gmt":"2019-02-25T10:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=8337"},"modified":"2019-02-25T13:36:55","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T10:36:55","slug":"kyaligonza-bodyguards-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/02\/25\/kyaligonza-bodyguards-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Kyaligonza bodyguards arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UPDF\nSpokesperson has confirmed the arrested of two bodyguards of a senior army\nofficer Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza for assaulting a female traffic officer on\nSunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nGen and his bodyguards were captured assaulting a female traffic officer who\nwas identified as Ester Namaganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Namaganda\ntried to stop their vehicle from making a wrong U turn around Seeta junction\nMukono district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However,\nMatayo and his bodyguards stopped their vehicle, got out and the scuffle ensued\nin the due course Namaganda was mishandled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She\nnarrated that she was slapped seriously and also the soldiers tried to pluck off\nher rank <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uganda\nPeoples Defence Forces Spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire confirmed that the\nsoldiers who cause the outrage were apprehended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nsoldiers that were arrested RA\/221607L\/CPL Bushindiki Peter and RA\/230927\nOkurut John Robert <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\ntwo soldiers are currently being detained at Uganda military police Kampala\nheadquarter, Makindye <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nfate of their boss is not yet known however more investigations are still going\non.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UPDF Spokesperson has confirmed the arrested of two bodyguards of a senior army officer Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza for assaulting a female traffic officer on Sunday.
