Parliament should stay out of it!,\u201d Byanyima tweeted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her\ntweet comes after Parliament issued a statement regarding a case in which\nKadaga is accused of not paying a witch doctor who worked on her to get\npolitical powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently,\na man identified as Damiano Akuze, a witch doctor from Buwala, Buganda Zone,\nLulyambuzi Parish in Kamuli District said that he worked on Speaker Kadaga for\ntwo nights when she came to him seeking his traditional medicine to help her\nattain a successful political career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/31\/i-worked-on-kadaga-for-two-nights-at-my-shrine-witch-doctor\/\">Akuze has now dragged Kadaga to court<\/a>, demanding payment of Shs200m for alleged breach of contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Akuze\nalleges that Kadaga requested him to work on her so that she would be given a\nbig job in government and also be driven in a convoy like a president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr\nAkuze alleges that since Ms Kadaga\u2019s visit to his shrine, he has been\nadministering his traditional medicine on her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBecause\nof the above, Ms Kadaga has served as East African Assembly delegate, MP,\nminister and currently as the Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cImmediately\non the 3rd day of September 1990, the defendant (Ms Kadaga) was called by\nPresident Museveni and appointed minister and has since then held big positions\nin government,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr\nAkuze alleges that since 1990, Ms Kadaga has paid him only Shs1m, which was in\nOctober 2017, and has since refused to pay him the balance of Shs204.5m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Winnie Byanyima, the Executive Director of Oxfam International and wife to FDC icon Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye has said that the Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga should explain to Ugandans how she ended up in a shrine. \u201cSpeaker Kadaga should personally explain herself to Ugandans and fight her embarrassing court case.
