{"id":7876,"date":"2019-01-30T18:28:15","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T15:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=7876"},"modified":"2019-01-30T18:28:53","modified_gmt":"2019-01-30T15:28:53","slug":"two-chinese-nationals-arrested-over-illegal-processing-exportation-of-fish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/30\/two-chinese-nationals-arrested-over-illegal-processing-exportation-of-fish\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Chinese Nationals Arrested Over Illegal Processing &#038; Exportation Of Fish"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two\nChinese nationals have been arrested by the fisheries protection force for\nillegally processing and exporting fish products especially fish mouths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\ntwo were arrested on Tuesday 29th with over 150kg of fish mouths which we&#8217;re\nfound hidden in the resident ceiling at Bunga, Makindye division, Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nChinese were arrested after the neighbours got suspicious of the kind of activities\nthey are carrying out and tipped off the authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innocent\nMugabi from Ministry of Agriculture said they got information from one of the\nresidents who told them that illegal fish processing is being carried out by\nChinese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gordon\nMusinguzi of the Fisheries Protection Force confirmed the arrest and said the\ntwo Chinese had middlemen from the lake and they could get immature Nile fish,\nextract fish mouths process them and take them to fellow Chinese for export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innocent\nMugabi says the two suspects will be taken to court and charged with processing\nand exporting fish products without license.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He\nfurther urged all the fishmen to refrain from such habit because it&#8217;s dangerous\nand destructive<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Chinese nationals have been arrested by the fisheries protection force for illegally processing and exporting fish products especially fish mouths.
