{"id":7372,"date":"2019-01-03T18:41:43","date_gmt":"2019-01-03T15:41:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=7372"},"modified":"2019-01-03T18:41:46","modified_gmt":"2019-01-03T15:41:46","slug":"flights-delayed-after-ethiopian-airlines-plane-goes-past-the-runway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2019\/01\/03\/flights-delayed-after-ethiopian-airlines-plane-goes-past-the-runway\/","title":{"rendered":"Flights Delayed After Ethiopian Airlines Plane Goes Past The Runway"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flights\nhave resumed after 10hours at Entebbe international airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\ndelay came when Ethiopian Airlines plane went past the runway while landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According\nto the authorities the incident took place on Thursday morning at around\n12:41am causing the delay of other flights to and from the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The civil aviation\nAuthority said in the statement that the plane skidded of the runway during\nlanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;All\nthe 138 passengers and the crew disembarked safely,&#8221; the statement reads<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Ethiopian\nairlines B-737-800 aircraft with registration number ET-ATV with flight number\nET348 January on regular scheduled service from Addis Ababa to Entebbe Uganda\nSkipped of the runway by airport during landing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Civil\nAviation Authority also added that passengers and crew were safely deplaned and\nwere taken to the terminal and cleared normally through regular clearances\nprocess and there is no damage to the aircraft and it&#8217;s being towed to the ramp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We\napologise to our valued customer who were on board the flight for the\ninconveniences an alternative flight is being arranged to complete who were\nbooked to travel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\ncause of the incident is still unknown but authority says the cause of the\nincident is under investigation<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flights have resumed after 10hours at Entebbe international airport.
