The general court Martial that is chaired by Lt Gen Gutti on Monday 17th December 2018, ruled that Boda Boda 2010 boss Abdallah Kitatta and his nine co-accused have cases to answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that several witnesses testified to the effect and the accused should prepare their defence against charges of unlawful possession of firearms and military equipment.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among his co-accused are Kibirige Joel, Ssenfuka Matia, Ssebata Hassan, Ssebaduka John, Mugerwa Hassan, Bwanika Fahad, Twinomujuni Amon, Ngobi Sowali and Ssekajja Ibrahim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kitatta and his co-accused we’re apprehended in January this year by CMI and charged by unlawful possession of ammunition however, three of his co-accused were acquitted on monday by the same court and they are Sunday Ssemwogerere, Jonathan Kayondo and Hassan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court also put Kitatta on defence for the golden pistol that was found with him in a hotel room at Vine Tea along Wakaliga road
“The pistol was found with him in the hotel and not the vehicle where the other two remained,” said Lt Gen Gutti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Abdallah Kitatta, Ibrahim Ssekajja and Ngobi Sowali were found with SMG rifle and they tried to run,” added Lt Gen Gutti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to UPDF they were also found in possession of 30 rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kitatta and his co accused are allegedly to be behind the brutal murder of Case Hospital senior accountant Francis Ekalungar.
