{"id":6170,"date":"2018-10-23T08:35:37","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T05:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=6170"},"modified":"2018-10-23T08:35:37","modified_gmt":"2018-10-23T05:35:37","slug":"yusuf-kawooya-detained-at-cmi-lawyer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2018\/10\/23\/yusuf-kawooya-detained-at-cmi-lawyer\/","title":{"rendered":"Yusuf Kawooya Detained At CMI \u2014 Lawyer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yusuf Kawooya who was recently arrested in brutal way near Christ the King Church in Kampala is being held at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence headquarters in Mbuya.<\/p>\n<p>According to his lawyer Paul Kenneth Kakande, they have not yet been given a chance to see Kawooya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know where he is, he is in CMI and we know who are holding him,\u201d said Kakande before adding that; \u201cWe had a discussion with officials of CMI and we were supposed to meet him but unfortunately we have been unable to meet him because they told us they are in a closed meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe meeting will decide as to whether Yusuf Kawooya is released. It is upon their decision that we shall be able to chat a way forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kakande also revealed that he was told that his client is in good condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have told us that he has nothing wrong and he is enjoying himself somewhere and they haven\u2019t told us of any charges against him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that the way Kawooya was arrested has attracted so much attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe manner in which he was arrested has attracted a lot of attention from with in and without and I think that will form the basis of their decision of which they are going to make\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yusuf Kawooya who was recently arrested in brutal way near Christ the King Church in Kampala is being held at the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence headquarters in Mbuya.
