Gen Kahinda Otafiire has thanked the former Buyende District DPC Muhamad Kirumira for exposing the \u2018Kawukumi\u2019 that had infiltrated Uganda Police Force.<\/p>\n<p>While celebrating the day for torture victims, Otafiire praised Kirumira for the work done.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKirumira saw these things and tried to talk but people took him for granted. They thought he was joking,\u201d said Otafiire before adding that; \u201cI therefore thank him for exposing the criminality in Police. What he used to say was the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kirumira who also attended the ceremony also said that he was happy that government is appreciating what he exposed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am happy and thank you for the recognition. I am now a whistle blower therefore I deserve a handshake for exposing the rot in police,\u201d said Kirumira.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that he will help the torture victims get justice.<\/p>\n<p>Ever since the operation to spray Kawukumi out of police, over 26 High ranking police officers have been arrested with main man being former IGP Gen Kahinda Otafiire.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mister of Justice and constitutional affairs Maj.
