{"id":4667,"date":"2018-06-25T11:48:03","date_gmt":"2018-06-25T08:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=4667"},"modified":"2018-06-25T11:48:03","modified_gmt":"2018-06-25T08:48:03","slug":"man-burns-wife-with-hot-water-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2018\/06\/25\/man-burns-wife-with-hot-water-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Burns Wife with Hot Water, Arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ephraim Luyira 36, has been arrested for reportedly pouring hot water onto his wife Betty Nyamiradayizima after a domestic brawl.<\/p>\n<p>The fight between the couple started after Luyira reportedly claimed Nyamiradayizima was bewitching her co wives.<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that Luyira has three wives however has found hard time sharing equal love amongst them.<\/p>\n<p>After recent family problems at one of her co-wifes&#8217; home Luyira came back so bitter, started beating up the victim telling her of how she was causing misfortunes to his other wives before grabbing a saucepan of hot water on a charcoal stove and pouring it on her.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4668 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/burns.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"637\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/burns.jpg 637w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/burns-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/burns-279x420.jpg 279w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 637px) 100vw, 637px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nyamiradayizima screams of pain attracted neighbours who called the police.<\/p>\n<p>Police arrested Luyira as he attempted to flee the scene of the crime and the victim was rushed to a hospital in Lugazi where she is bedridden with severe wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to residents, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire urged couples to find more peaceful means of resolving marital disagreements instead of resorting to violence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ephraim Luyira 36, has been arrested for reportedly pouring hot water onto his wife Betty Nyamiradayizima after a domestic brawl.
