Vipers SC has advanced to the final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after edging SC Villa 1:0 in the 2nd leg semi-finals at St Mary\u2019s Stadium in Kitende on Tuesday June 5th.<\/p>\n
The 1-0 aggregate victory confirmed Vipers SC as KCCA FC\u2019s opponents who eliminated FUFA Big League side Synergy FC in the first semi-final. KCCA won 10-0 aggregate.<\/p>\n
KCCA FC are the Uganda Cup holders.<\/p>\n
Prior to kick off, a minute of silence was observed for departed long serving football administrator and CAF Commissioner Hajji Abbassi Sendyowa who was laid to rest in Mbarara on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Brian Nkuubi came from bench to save the Venoms with a well taken direct free-kick in the 69th minute after Milton Karisa was fouled on the edge of the box.<\/p>\n
Villa\u2019s Allan Kyambadde had the chance to level the game in the 79th minute however, his effort from the free-kick couldn\u2019t bother Vipers\u2019 shot stopper Ismail Watenga as it sailed over the bar.<\/p>\n
This was the third victory of Vipers over SC Villa this season in the four meetings in all Competitions.<\/p>\n
Vipers defeated SC Villa in both rounds of the Azam Uganda Premier League.<\/p>\n
The final will be played at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea on Saturday June 9th 2018.<\/p>\n
