Uganda\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odongo Jeje Abubaker, has departed for T\u00fcrkiye to attend the 5th edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026, where he is expected to champion investment opportunities across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The high-level forum, scheduled for April 17\u201319 in the resort city of Antalya, will take place at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Centre under the theme \u201cMapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Odongo is attending the summit at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, and is set to feature prominently as a keynote speaker and panelist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will contribute to discussions on \u201cInvesting in Africa\u2019s Future: Strategy, Scale and Competitiveness,\u201d a topic closely aligned with Uganda\u2019s push to attract investment into key sectors for socioeconomic transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister will use the platform to highlight Uganda\u2019s strategic priorities and position the country as a competitive destination for global investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the sidelines of the forum, Odongo is expected to hold bilateral talks with Fidan and several other foreign ministers, in a bid to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore new areas of cooperation between Uganda and its international partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is accompanied by Uganda\u2019s Ambassador to T\u00fcrkiye, Nusura Tiperu, alongside senior ministry officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum brings together global leaders, policymakers, and experts to deliberate on pressing international issues and foster collaborative solutions.
