Uganda is hosting a high-level delegation of Chinese investors and industry leaders for the Uganda\u2013China Coffee Investment and Destination Tour 2026, in a move aimed at boosting trade, investment, and market access between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tour, running from April 10 to 23, 2026, is organized by Uganda\u2019s embassy in Beijing in collaboration with its consulate in Guangzhou. It brings together representatives from major Chinese firms spanning manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, and international trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Companies represented in the delegation include Shandong Huajian Aluminum Group, Beijing Liujian Group Co., Ltd., Wuxi Jiangnan Cable Co., Ltd, Hainan Zhongyu International Cooperation Co., Ltd., Beijing Jubangbang Agriculture Co., Ltd, and Silk Road Global International Exhibition (Chengdu) Co., Ltd., among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During their stay, the investors are undertaking a nationwide familiarization and investment tour targeting key economic zones and tourism sites. The delegation is expected to visit major industrial hubs such as the Sino-Uganda Mbale Industrial Park, <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liao Shen Industrial Park, and Namanve Industrial Park, where they will assess opportunities in manufacturing, industrialization, and infrastructure development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Agriculture, particularly coffee, is a central focus of the tour. The delegation will engage with the Ankole Coffee Producers Cooperative Union and visit a coffee processing facility in Bushenyi to explore Uganda\u2019s coffee value chain and export potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investors will also tour Uganda\u2019s leading tourism attractions, including Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Rwenzori Mountains National Park, and the Source of the Nile, as part of efforts to promote the country as a prime tourism destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials say the Uganda\u2013China Coffee Investment and Destination Tour reflects Uganda\u2019s strategy to position itself as a competitive hub for trade, tourism, and investment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
