This ranking focuses only on schools offering a fully international curriculum (British, IB, American, or<\/p>\n\n\n\n
French), not mixed systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Facilities and access to sports and extracurricular programmes, including participation in external<\/p>\n\n\n\n
competitions and associations<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ranking<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. International school of Uganda (ISU)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ISU offers a full IB pathway within a highly international environment and is known for its strong academic<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and extracurricular programmes. It remains one of the most established schools in the country, though its<\/p>\n\n\n\n
fees are the highest in Uganda and its location in Lubowa is outside central Kampala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Rainbow international school Uganda (RISU)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RISU provides a well rounded Cambridge pathway supported by a diverse student body and a consistent<\/p>\n\n\n\n
academic track record. Its location may be rather inconvenient for some families, and its campus is more<\/p>\n\n\n\n
compact than those of larger schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. 7Hills international school (7Hills)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7Hills is a centrally located school in Kololo known for its small class sizes and focus on academic<\/p>\n\n\n\n
excellence. The environment allows for individual attention and offers strong value for money, while the<\/p>\n\n\n\n
campus remains more limited in size compared with larger institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Kampala international school Uganda (KISUKISU offers both British and IB pathways and has a broad academic and extracurricular offering. It is well<\/p>\n\n\n\n
established and has a nice and central campus. However, its high fee structure and high staff turnover are drawbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Acacia international school (AIS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AIS follows the American curriculum and is known for its strong community feel and close teacher student<\/p>\n\n\n\n
relationships. Its campus is relatively small and spread across several plots, meaning students often move<\/p>\n\n\n\n
between buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. French international school of Kampala<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The French international school offers the French national curriculum within a global network, with a strong ocus on language and cultural immersion. In the secondary section, a significant part of the programme is<\/p>\n\n\n\n
delivered online, with more limited direct teacher support on site, which may not suit all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Heritage international school (HIS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
HIS places a strong emphasis on leadership, values, and community and has a long standing presence in<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uganda. However, its higher fees and frequent changes in leadership are drawbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
8. Kabojja international school (KIS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
KIS offers a large campus, strong sports infrastructure, and both Cambridge and IB programmes. Its<\/p>\n\n\n\n
location in Buziga can mean a longer commute. Both the student and teaching body are more locally<\/p>\n\n\n\n
based, which can result in a less globally diverse environment than some other international schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
9. Acorns international school (AIS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AIS offers both the IB and British curricula and has expanded rapidly in recent years, with growing student<\/p>\n\n\n\n
numbers and an increasingly broad programme. However, such fast growth can place pressure on systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n
and staffing, which may impact consistency in teaching and overall delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
10. Galaxy international school Uganda (GISU)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
GISU is a modern school with focus on technology, offering the Cambridge curriculum with a wide subject<\/p>\n\n\n\n
range. Its location in Lubowa outside central Kampala may be inconvenient. A more locally concentrated<\/p>\n\n\n\n
student and teaching body may shape the overall international experience compared with more diverse school enviroments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
