President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has pledged government support to initiatives linked to Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala, including backing his family foundation\u2019s Kamagwa Hospital and the establishment of a museum to preserve his legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a message shared on his official X account on Tuesday, Mr Museveni said he was pleased to meet the 99-year-old prelate and commended him for his \u201ccontribution to faith and social transformation in Uganda.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the President, the government will extend support to Kamagwa Hospital, which will remain a private facility under the cardinal\u2019s family foundation. He also directed the Ministry of Tourism to support plans to set up a museum dedicated to preserving Cardinal Wamala\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt his request, I accepted to serve as Patron of the project,\u201d Mr Museveni said, signalling his personal endorsement of the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
