President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has taken the National Resistance Movement (NRM) into the digital fast lane, officially launching an innovative party mobilization app during a strategic event at Mbale State Lodge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new NRM App, developed through a partnership between the State House Local Content Unit and the Activity-Based Mobilizers (ABM) network, aims to modernize how the party communicates, organizes, and connects with Ugandans across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Supervised by Senior Presidential Advisor Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi and built by Ugandan tech innovator Ronald Katamba, the app is designed to be a one-stop hub for leaders, mobilizers, and ordinary citizens. Features include verified updates, streamlined event coordination, instant reporting from the field, and real-time citizen feedback \u2014 all from a mobile device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Museveni noted that this leap into digital organizing marks a strategic shift as the NRM prepares for the 2026 elections and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you want to talk to the youth and the future, you must go where they are \u2014 on their phones,\u201d he said. \u201cThis app is not just a tool; it is a bridge that connects leaders and citizens and deepens our democratic engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to tech lead Ronald Katamba, the app is built for long-term scalability, with potential for future enhancements including e-learning modules, online service delivery, and expanded data systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SPA Hajjat Aminah Mukalazi praised the innovation and reaffirmed the State House Local Content Unit\u2019s commitment to promoting homegrown digital solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The app also integrates the ABM mobilization structure \u2014 President Museveni\u2019s grassroots model that tracks voter engagement based on activity instead of the traditional static systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
