The National Resistance Movement (NRM) campaign task force in Nebbi District has wrapped up its final preparations ahead of President Yoweri Museveni\u2019s campaign rally slated for tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
State Minister for Mineral Development and Nebbi Woman MP flag bearer, Phiona Nyamutoro, said all mobilization efforts have been completed from the grassroots to ensure a strong turnout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, we held our final coordination meeting with sub-county NRM chairpersons and local leaders to fine-tune our mobilization strategy, especially on timekeeping since the rally begins early,\u201d Nyamutoro told reporters on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She emphasized that Nebbi is ready to showcase its unwavering support for President Museveni, describing the rally as a \u201ccelebration of his legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn Nebbi, this isn\u2019t just a campaign event \u2014 it\u2019s a show of gratitude for the President\u2019s leadership. Our people are fully behind him,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nyamutoro noted that Museveni\u2019s visit to Nebbi is primarily to thank the district for its consistent loyalty to the NRM, adding that the region has benefited from several government initiatives over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFor two decades, Nebbi had no ministerial representation. Today, we have a minister and several leaders in key positions. The President also commissioned the Nebbi substation last year, officially connecting West Nile to the national power grid,\u201d she highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minister further cited ongoing infrastructure projects such as the upgrading of the Nebbi\u2013Goli Road (16km) and plans for a new industrial park at Omvoro Village, Nyaravur Sub-county, expected to boost agro-processing and industrial growth in the next financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also called for greater investment in health and education, including the elevation of Nebbi General Hospital to a regional referral hospital and increased funding for public schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith better healthcare, education, and financial empowerment through the revised Parish Development Model, Nebbi will soon be unstoppable,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Minister for Mineral Development, Nyamutoro also revealed that new mineral deposits have been identified in the district, which the government plans to explore for community benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Padyere County MP Isaac Otimgiu said Nebbi is ready to outperform other regions in mobilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve seen what was done in Lango, but Nebbi is setting a new standard. Mobilization has gone through every structure \u2014 from PDM groups to women and youth leagues. People are coming voluntarily because they believe in the cause,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Otimgiu also discussed Nebbi\u2019s ongoing urban transformation, noting that the district is catching up with its neighbors Zombo and Pakwach in infrastructure development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis year, most of our municipal roads have been tarmacked, and work is ongoing on the Nyee\u2013Nebbi and Nebbi\u2013Tuarua roads. Nebbi is becoming a model town in West Nile,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
