As the Uganda Cranes prepare to face defending champions Senegal in a highly anticipated African Nations Championship (CHAN) fixture this Saturday, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) has issued a firm warning to fans regarding appropriate conduct and dress code at Namboole Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a press briefing at the Uganda Media Centre on Wednesday, Diana Nabuuso\u2014a member of the LOC Communications and Signage Committee\u2014announced that fans wearing jerseys bearing inappropriate or offensive inscriptions would be denied entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are taking a clear stand against jerseys that contain disrespectful messages or what we call \u2018minis.\u2019 Such attire undermines public decency and will not be tolerated. Offenders will be stopped at the gates,\u201d Nabuuso told journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe encourage unity, respect, and discipline from all supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The advisory follows a growing trend of fans customizing jerseys with viral phrases and slang popularized on platforms like TikTok and Facebook. While many consider the inscriptions humorous, organizers argue that some cross the line and could erode standards of public decorum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
