Dressed in elegant black-and-gold outfits, band veterans Moses Matovu, Rachel Magoola, and Joanita Kawalya led the audience on a nostalgic journey with timeless hits such as <em>Batuuse, Jim, Teri Mubi, Emaali, Obangaina,<\/em> and <em>Olumbe Lw\u2019Obwavu<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The concert\u2019s energy soared when Congolese superstar <strong>Kofi Olomide<\/strong> stormed the stage with his electrifying <em>Ndombolo<\/em> dance moves and delivered chart-topping hits like <em>Papa Mobimba, Effrakata,<\/em> and <em>Senga,<\/em> sending revelers into a frenzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stanbic Bank\u2019s Brand and Marketing Manager, <strong>Lois Kwikiriza<\/strong>, praised the fans\u2019 resilience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe rains were a blessing in disguise. They tested our love for Afrigo and Ugandan music, and we passed with distinction. Ugandans truly celebrated their very own.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The celebrations were crowned with a breathtaking fireworks display and the launch of the <em>Afrigo at 50 Commemorative Book,<\/em> presided over by Prince <strong>David Wassajja<\/strong> on behalf of the Kabaka of Buganda, alongside Uganda Communications Commission\u2019s <strong>Hon. Nyombi Thembo<\/strong>.
