The National Unity Platform (NUP) has kicked off a major mobilization campaign in the West Nile sub-region, aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and consolidating support ahead of the next electoral cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The initiative, which involves the formation of internal party structures, was officially launched at the regional NUP offices in Arua City by the Deputy party Presidentfor Northern Uganda, Dr. Lina Zedriga, drawing participants and leaders from across the Alur, Madi, and Lugbara belts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the exercise, local leaders were inducted into their roles, laying the groundwork for more structured political engagement and coordination within the sub-region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Zedriga emphasized the need for inclusive political participation. She encouraged all qualified individuals, regardless of background, to step forward and express interest in elective positions at all levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur call to action is clear: we want every capable Ugandan who believes in the values of good governance, accountability, and justice to take part in this political journey by offering themselves for leadership,\u201d Dr. Zedriga said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She further noted that the internal structure-building effort is not only a party activity but also a strategic move to empower communities to shape their future through effective representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exercise in West Nile is part of a broader national plan by NUP to establish a solid grassroots base across Uganda, positioning the party for increased visibility and competitiveness in the 2026 general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
