However, he turned up the heat when he released Circumference<\/em>, shocking most of his fans, who realized it showcased a completely different sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In various interviews, Bebe Cool has revealed that this change of direction is meant to align with current market trends, which are now leaning more toward Afrobeats than any other sound being produced from Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bebe Cool promised to unpack more about the album in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Calling it “a new dawn,” Bebe Cool has broken the mold with this album, working with a different crop of producers and engineers, and tapping into Uganda\u2019s growing Afrobeats sound, collaborating with artists such as Joshua Baraka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the TikTok Live, Bebe Cool discussed the changing trends in music and how Uganda has often missed out simply because many of the artists who could push boundaries are either too comfortable or too afraid to venture into the unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this new album, he says he is sailing into the unknown, with the intention of using his position as an industry leader to motivate and inspire young artists to embark on similar journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Break the Chains<\/em> is about cracking the glass ceiling to take Ugandan music to the table most local artists believe we are not welcome at,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Break the Chains<\/em> follows the success of Go Mama<\/em>, which earned Bebe Cool continental nominations, such as the MTV Africa Music Awards, Channel O Awards, and the Kora Awards.
