As the 6-day campaign marathon in the Dokolo by-election draws to a close, the NRM camp is urging the electorate to come out in large numbers and vote for their candidate, Janet Adongo Rose Elau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adongo, along with NRM’s head of Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Seninde, Uganda\u2019s High Commissioner to South Africa, Paul Amoru, and Dokolo South MP Felix Okot Ogong, toured Agwata Town Council, Adok, and Agwata sub-counties, rallying locals to elect the NRM flag bearer for improved services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adongo emphasized the importance of not electing opposition candidates who oppose the NRM manifesto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Let’s not entrust our mandate with anti-government individuals. They are not at the table where the national cake is shared. Only NRM can ensure development,” she stated, noting the overwhelming support shown by locals during the campaign as a testament to trust and confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hon. Rosemary Seninde, NRM’s Director of Mobilisation, cautioned against falsehoods and propaganda spread by opposition elements to tarnish Mrs. Adongo and the ruling party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cDo not fall for the increasing rumors and lies spread by some of our opponents against our candidate,\u201d Seninde advised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also encouraged voters to warmly welcome NRM National Chairman and President Yoweri Museveni on Tuesday as he campaigns for Adongo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ambassador Amoru challenged the masses to approach the future of the district with pragmatism rather than excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If we desire development for our district, then we must vote for the party in power, which is NRM, and our candidate, Janet Eau,\u201d Amoru asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dokolo by-election race features other candidates including NUP\u2019s Harriet Ageno, UPC\u2019s Sarah Aguti, independents Akullo Esther Obot and Arao Rebecca, FDC\u2019s Alwoc Austin Ogwal, and independent candidate Lalam Grace Hanna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
