During the operation, NDA officials uncovered a disturbing number of operators involved in the illegal possession and distribution of diagnostic kits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The kits, used for crucial health tests such as malaria, hepatitis B, HIV, and pregnancy, were found to have their expired labels tampered with and replaced with new ones, misleading unsuspecting consumers. This deceptive practice poses significant risks to public health, as expired diagnostic kits may provide inaccurate results, leading to misdiagnosis and improper treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, a concerning discovery was made regarding the mislabeling of drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some operators had drugs marked with labels stating “GOU, Not for sale,” despite these substances being anti-malarials. This violation raises serious concerns about the quality, authenticity, and safety of the medications being distributed within the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
