James Tuyizere, a 21-year-old citizen of Rwanda, passed away on Monday while in a Horizon bus from Kampala to Kisoro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As soon as the bus got to Ntungamo, Tuyizere started throwing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passenger Hamis Magomu stated that Tuyizere’s condition deteriorated during the voyage, and he looked weak before the trip began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When they got closer to Kabale town, the bus conductors noticed that he was getting worse and relocated him to the rear seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation was immediately reported to the Kabale police station by the bus driver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tuyizere’s body was taken off the bus by the police under the direction of Hakim Mukama, the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department for the Kigezi region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, the body was brought to the mortuary at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following police inquiries and approval, the bus proceeded on its way to Kisoro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This incident is reminiscent of one that happened in May 2023 when a woman from Rwanda died in a Trinity Express bus while going from Kigali to Kampala. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened around Mbarara. Uncertainty surrounds the circumstances of both deaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under file number SD 19\/29\/01\/2024, the police have reported the incident as a sudden death at the Kabale police station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
