Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire has revealed that they are actively investigating the attempted murder of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened yesterday at 9pm a along Namungona , Zone 2 , kasubi Rubaga Division Kampala at Bwalakata Junction along National Housing Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bugingo’s bodyguard identified as Muhumuza Richard was pronounced dead upon arrival at Mulago hospital<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Old Kampala Police are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation into a tragic incident involving the attempted murder of Pastor Aloysius Bugingo from the House of Prayer Ministry and the unfortunate killing of his bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At approximately 9 PM on January 2nd, 2024, unidentified assailants opened fire on Pastor Bugingo’s vehicle, registered as PRAIZ GOD, along Namungona , Zone 2 , kasubi Rubaga Division Kampala at Bwalakata Junction along National Housing Road , before swiftly escaping the scene on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite sustaining injuries during the attack, Pastor Aloysius Bugingo managed to transport the vehicle to Mulago Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regrettably, his bodyguard, Muhumuza Richard, succumbed to the assault and was confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, Pastor Bugingo is undergoing medical treatment and is under close monitoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon an immediate response to the incident, the police discovered that the scene had been tampered with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Statements from eyewitnesses have been diligently recorded, and the deceased’s body has been conveyed to the City Mortuary at Mulago for a thorough postmortem examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
