{"id":37407,"date":"2023-10-11T13:25:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T10:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/?p=37407"},"modified":"2023-10-11T13:42:48","modified_gmt":"2023-10-11T10:42:48","slug":"customer-accuses-equity-bank-of-internally-removing-shs10million-from-his-account","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/index.php\/2023\/10\/11\/customer-accuses-equity-bank-of-internally-removing-shs10million-from-his-account\/","title":{"rendered":"Customer Accuses Equity Bank of Internally Removing Shs10million From His Account"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The unexplained vanishing of customers&#8217; savings at Equity Bank Uganda has brought the institution back into the public eye once more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A customer of Equity Bank named Farook Ssekandi has lashed out at the financial institution for its inability to assist him in recouping the ten million shillings that he believes were stolen from him by an employee of the bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The consumer claims that he deposited 10 million shillings into his account but afterwards discovered that the money was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"352\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 640 \/ 352;\" width=\"640\" controls src=\"https:\/\/ugmirror.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Equity-Video.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis bank I am in, they stole my Shs10million, I am here crying for my money and no one is willing to help,\u201d said Farook Ssekandi in a video that has since gone viral on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further said; \u201cThere is this other customer, they robbed him Shs1.5million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey have given me a security guy who is going to help me restore my money on the account but he is not helping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey begged me to open an account at Equity Bank Kireka branch but now those who are supposed to help me are just running away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey just steal the money from our accounts.
