MPs have expressed concern of the excessive nudity that was exhibited during the music concert of two female artists; Sheeba Karungi and Cinderella Sanyu, describing the stage dress code as ungodly and un-African.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert happened over the weekend at Kololo Independence grounds and was attended to the brim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cindy is believed to have taken Sheeba to school when it came to live Performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cindy has since been praised for her crystal-clear vocals, dance moves and energy she exhibited while on stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MPS are demanding the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance to offer guidance to Ugandans before the whole nation sinks into ‘immorality’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bufumbira East MP Nsaba Buturo said the dress code among artists could be the reason why many artists after leaving the stage, they tend to disappear in oblivion, saying many are investing in nudity instead of contributing positively to the protection & promotion of Uganda\u2019s values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur artists should promote our side of life, our artists should be champions of what is good in our society, our artists should be a fountain of honour when it comes to defending the interests of this nation but the types we have don\u2019t measure at all,\u201d said Butuuro before adding that;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou are coming on stage dressed in a totally un-African way and you think that is right & our people are being misled. So, we want to appeal to our artists, that the God-given gift they have, should be used to promote the interests of this nation,\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The National Female Elderly Representative Peggy Wako asked artists to carry themselves with grace rather than disgrace arguing that music is a form of employment for our young generation and also acts as recreation for people to relax & brush off stress and shouldn’t be used as a platform for nudity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“These are people who should be performing for the public. They are public figures, so they should mind the way they present themselves in the way they dress up. They should mind their language, they should mind the way they act, let them be graceful but not disgraceful,\u201d Wako.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gulu East MP Charles One accused Ugandan artists of being of being drug addicts, saying the substance abuse has hampered them from exploring their role as teachers, philosophers & visionaries wondering why they don’t emulate artists from; Singapore, South Africa & Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that used their music industry to develop national identity & national integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn my religion, only one thing that is exposed is the blessed sacrament. But today, we see young ladies, dress themselves half naked, the breasts are outside pointing like the lord be with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
